Sun Sauce is not a cream. It's a concentrated jelly, and it applies completely differently. The single biggest mistake people make is using cream amounts. Don't.
How much
A 5p-sized amount per area, and it easily covers a whole arm. It glides on, so let it. You're aiming for a very thin layer on the skin, so thin you can barely see it. Not thick, not layered, not rubbed in like a moisturiser.
How to apply
- Start with clean, dry skin.
- Dispense a 5p-sized amount into your palm.
- Glide it across the area in long strokes until you have a thin, even layer.
- Let it absorb. Done.
When
Apply 1 to 2 minutes before your sunbed session, or before heading into the sun. Outdoors, follow with your usual SPF once it's absorbed.
Why so little?
Sun Sauce carries our highest concentration of tanning actives in a lightweight jelly base built around skin hydrators. A thin layer absorbs clean and gets to work. A thick layer just sits on the surface and feels tacky. If your skin feels sticky after applying, you've used too much. Wipe off the excess and use less next time. You'll also make your pouch last far longer.
Sunbed friendly?
Completely. Sun Sauce is a water-based jelly, water is the first ingredient, and its hydration comes from humectants like Glycerin, Betaine and Panthenol rather than oils, so it's effectively oil-free. There's no mineral oil, no bronzer and no DHA, which means nothing to transfer onto, stain or degrade the acrylic. Applied as a thin, fully absorbed layer, nothing wet ever sits between your skin and the bed. If a salon ever queries it, the answer is simple: water-based, oil-free, bronzer-free.

A salon told me tanning products damage sunbeds. Is that true of Delux?
Not for Delux. The products that damage acrylic sunbeds are heavy, oil-based ones, particularly anything with mineral oil, and bronzer products that transfer and stain. Every Delux topical is water-based with no mineral oil, no bronzer and no DHA, and is applied as a thin layer that fully absorbs before your session. There's nothing left on the skin to transfer, stain or degrade the bed.
Do I apply SPF before or after?
After. Delux product first, let it absorb for 1 to 2 minutes, then your usual SPF over the top.
How long before my sunbed session should I apply?
1 to 2 minutes before is fine.
My Sun Sauce feels sticky. What's wrong?
Nothing's wrong with the product, you've used too much. It's a concentrate. A 5p-sized amount per area in a thin layer absorbs clean. Use less and it disappears into the skin.
Do I need to reapply during the day?
Apply before every tanning session, and reapply as needed after swimming.
Will these give me colour without UV?
No, and that's the point. No bronzer, no DHA, no fake colour. These work with UV to build a real tan that's actually yours.
