We built this brand on saying exactly what is in the tube and why. Every ingredient in a Delux formula has to earn its place at the level we use it. No token actives at trace amounts for a line on the box, no fillers, and nothing on this page that is not printed on the label. It is why we are one of the only tanning brands willing to go through the entire list and explain what each ingredient is doing. This is that list for Lumière, the one product in the range that was built for the face first, and why a face formula has to be put together differently from a body cream.

Every Delux cream can go on your face. Lumière is the one designed for it: lighter emollients, a thinner finish, face-specific actives.
Acetyl tyrosine is the fifth ingredient, niacinamide the sixth. On a face product that is unusually high. That is deliberate.
A pea-sized amount for the whole face. The base is built to spread thin. More sits on top.
The glow is optical. Light-reflecting minerals, not colour. Nothing stains, nothing develops.
Part one
Why a face formula has to be built differently
Facial skin is thinner, oilier in the T-zone, quicker to congest and quicker to show a heavy product. A body cream built on shea and coconut is a beautiful thing on legs and shoulders and a poor thing on a forehead at 11am on a sunbed. So Lumière keeps the Delux tanning stack and rebuilds everything around it: the butters go, light dry-touch emollients come in, the texture thins right down, and a set of ingredients you would expect in a serum rather than a tanning cream join the list. The result spreads from a pea-sized amount, disappears in seconds, and leaves a finish you can put makeup over.
Same tanning actives as the body range. A base that behaves like skincare, because on a face it has to.
Part two
The base: built to spread thin
Here is where Lumière parts company with the body creams, and where we owe you an explanation, because two of these ingredients are ones we would question on a body tube.

A water-based cream starting with water, with glycerin second to draw moisture into the skin and hold it. The same start as every honest cream.
Ingredient 3DimethiconeThird
Yes, a silicone, and high on the list. We have said elsewhere that silicones in a body cream are usually there to fake a silky feel. On a face product the case is different: dimethicone is what lets a pea-sized amount glide across the whole face in a thin, even film, without dragging, without a greasy layer, and without clogging pores. It is the reason Lumière sits well under makeup and under sunscreen. It is doing a specific job that nothing else on this list does as well, and that is the only reason anything gets in.
Ingredient 4Cetearyl alcoholFourth
Not the drying kind. Cetearyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol that gives the cream its body and helps oil and water stay mixed. It is softening, not stripping. The drying alcohol is a separate, tiny entry near the bottom and we cover it in housekeeping.
Ingredients 7, 8 and 9Caprylic/capric triglyceride, coco-caprylate/caprate, isononyl isononanoate
Three light, fast-absorbing emollients that replace the shea and coconut oil of the body range. The first is coconut-derived and conditioning; the second is a dry-touch coconut ester; the third is the one that gives a velvety, powder-dry finish. Together they are why Lumière does not shine on a T-zone.
Ingredients 10 and 11Glyceryl stearate, PEG-100 stearate
The emulsifier pair that holds the cream together. Standard, gentle, and used in most reputable face creams.
Ingredient 13Dimethyl isosorbide
A solvent that helps actives travel into the top layer of skin rather than sitting on it. In a thin face formula that matters more than in a rich body cream, because there is less product to carry them.

The tanning actives
Four of the five links in the Delux melanin chain. We are telling you it is four rather than five because it is: there is no copper cofactor in Lumière, and on a face formula we chose to leave it out rather than add one more thing to a list that already asks a lot of the skin.

The building block your skin converts into melanin. Fifth ingredient. On a face product, where actives are usually a whisper at the bottom of the list, that is a strong position and it is the reason Lumière is a tanning product rather than a face cream that mentions tanning.

Vitamin B3, sixth. Supports the barrier, helps regulate oil, evens tone, and is involved in moving finished melanin into the cells you can see. On a face it is doing all four jobs at once, which is why it sits this high.
Active 3MelanoBronze (Vitex agnus-castus extract)Licensed complex
A licensed complex from Solabia, listed on the label as monk's pepper extract, that supports the signalling which switches pigment production on when UV arrives. It needs light; it is not a self-tan and does nothing on its own. The same complex as the Next-Gen body creams.
Active 4Acetyl hexapeptide-1Low on the list
The peptide that mimics your body's own start-production messenger. It sits lower here than in the body creams, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. It is supporting the tyrosine and MelanoBronze above it.

Part four
The face actives: what a body cream would never carry
This is the part of the list that makes Lumière a face product rather than a body cream in a smaller tube.
Acetyl hexapeptide-8. The expression-line peptide used in serious anti-ageing serums. It is here in a small amount and we are not going to oversell it, but it is a peptide you will not find in any other tanning product we know of.
Sodium hyaluronate. Hyaluronic acid in its skin-friendly salt form, for water retention and plumpness. A little goes a long way; it holds many times its weight in water.
Hydrolysed collagen. Broken down small enough to condition the surface and improve how skin feels and holds moisture.
Ceramide NP. The mortar between skin cells that UV depletes. Rebuilding it keeps the barrier intact, which matters more on a face than anywhere.
Dipotassium glycyrrhizate. A liquorice-derived soother and anti-inflammatory that helps keep tone even and calms post-session redness.
Squalane, jojoba oil, meadowfoam seed oil. Three plant oils that mirror skin's own, used in small amounts for conditioning without weight. Meadowfoam is the one you rarely see: light, stable, and good at holding moisture in.
Panthenol. Pro-vitamin B5, calming and conditioning.
Tocopheryl acetate and dimethylmethoxy chromanol. Two antioxidants. The first is a stable vitamin E; the second is a newer one, unusual in tanning products, chosen for how well it handles UV-generated free radicals.
Part five
The glow, honestly
Lumière has a soft luminosity on the skin. Here is exactly where it comes from, because "glow" is a word that has been used to hide bronzers. Mica, titanium dioxide and tin oxide are the three minerals that make up a cosmetic pearl: mica is the flake, titanium dioxide coats it to reflect light, tin oxide stabilises the coating. Together they scatter light so skin looks brighter and more even. They sit on the surface and wash off. They are not a bronzer, not DHA, not a tint, and the titanium dioxide is there for the pearl, not as a sunscreen; it is nowhere near the level that would give you SPF, so wear a proper one over it outdoors. The last ingredient on the list, CI 15985, is a trace of cosmetic colourant that gives the cream itself a warm tone in the tube. It does not colour you either. Whatever colour you build with Lumière is your own, over sessions, under UV.

Housekeeping: the rest of the list
Ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP copolymer and xanthan gum give the cream its texture and keep it stable. Synthetic wax gives body without heaviness. Hexylene glycol and 1,2-hexanediol are solvents and mild humectants that keep the actives dissolved. Phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin are the preservative system. There is a tiny entry for alcohol near the bottom, carried in as part of an extract, at a level that has no drying effect. Fragrance is present and sits low on the list, lower than in the body creams, because faces are more sensitive. That is the whole tube.
Part seven
Versus the shelf
Versus a facial tanning lotion. Most are either a body formula relabelled, which congests, or a bronzer with a serum name. Lumière is built for the face from the base up, with tyrosine fifth and a peptide list a serum would recognise.
Versus using a body cream on your face. You can, and every Delux cream is safe to. But a butter base on a forehead in a sunbed is heavy, and a body tube carries none of the face actives above. Lumière is what to reach for if your face is where you want the result.
Versus a face bronzer or gradual tan. Those stain the surface with DHA. Lumière paints nothing on and develops nothing overnight. Slower, and yours.
Versus a plain face serum. Lumière has most of what a good one has, hyaluronate, ceramide, two peptides, niacinamide, plus the tanning stack. It will not replace a dedicated retinol or vitamin C routine. It will happily sit in one.
What Lumière is not
Not a sunscreen, despite the titanium dioxide; wear one over it outdoors. Not a self-tan or bronzer; the glow is light reflection and it washes off. Not the full five-part stack; there is no copper cofactor, by choice. And not a product to layer thick: a pea-sized amount is the whole application, and more will only sit on the surface.

How to use it
Prep: cleanse. If you exfoliate your face, do it the day before, not the day of.
Apply: a pea-sized amount for the whole face, and a second for neck and chest if you want them. Press it in and spread thin until it disappears. The dimethicone and dry-touch emollients are there precisely so a small amount covers everything; a thick layer just sits, shines and transfers to the goggles.
Sunbed: give it a minute, goggles on, follow the salon's times.
Outdoors: a proper facial sunscreen over the top, reapplied through the day. Lumière goes underneath it and under makeup.
Routine: it sits after serums and before sunscreen or makeup. Use it on session days; on rest days a plain moisturiser is fine.
Expect: a visible difference in facial tone within two to three sessions, evenness improving over two to three weeks with regular use.

Can I use my normal Delux cream on my face instead?
Yes, every Delux cream is safe on the face. Lumière is the one built for it: a thinner base that will not congest, and face-specific actives a body cream does not carry.
Is the glow a bronzer?
No. It is a cosmetic pearl of mica, titanium dioxide and tin oxide that reflects light and washes off. There is no DHA and no tint.
Does the titanium dioxide mean it has SPF?
No. It is there as part of the pearl effect, not at sunscreen levels. Wear a proper facial SPF over it outdoors.
Why is there a silicone in it?
Dimethicone is what lets a pea-sized amount spread thin across the whole face without drag, grease or clogging. On a face product it earns its place; we would question it on a body tube.
How much should I apply?
